Rolex vintage for sale in duty free on Cathay Pacific flights
The Hong Kong Cathay Pacific company has little on its international flights of the duty free vintage objects, from the biggest luxury brands: Louis Vuitton, Hermès and Rolex.
The craze for vintage is no longer a secret. Just take a look on the results of the latest Antiquorum sale in April last in New York to see high rates of 5513, from 1655, with Steve McQueen,... And let us hope that the next auction of Christie's, held in Geneva on May 12 with a collection of 26 Rolex Submariner and Sea-Dweller won also a success.
If Rolex is undoubtedly one of the finest brands of luxury watches in Europe, Asia, and especially in Hong Kong, the Submariner, Sea Dweller, the Datejust are squarely raised to the rank of myth!
In this context, not surprising that the company Hong Kong Cathay Pacific had the idea to offer on its international flights a 'duty free' selection of luxury products vintage Louis Vuitton (trunks) from Hermes (of clocks or boxes cigar) or at Rolex with pieces such as the Oyster Perpetual from 1952 to 2,700 dollarsin the GMT Master from 1981 to $ 7,000, Submariner Date from 1983 to 6,500 dollars, the "red" Submariner (circa 1968) to 17,500 dollars and even, the now very sought after Rolex Explorer II 'Steve McQueen' from the 1970s to $ 25,000!
Naturally, all these pieces are not self-service in the aircraft. Passengers must order and pay for their purchases before their departure and the delivery of the products is carried out on board the aircraft (except for Louis Vuitton... trunks which are directly delivered to the domicile of the buyer).
